In_equality magazine
In_equality magazine is the Cluster's bi-annual research magazine and combines scientific standards with the accessibility and slick design of a general-interest magazine for the wider public.
Diversity and inclusion are not the same, and yet the terms are often used synonymously. Our Cluster of Excellence addresses both in its research: Diversity as a social fact, and inclusion as a policy measure. How have the COVID-19 containment measures affected men and women? Does ethnic diversity in the classroom lead to greater mutual understanding among students? What strategies could help reduce the gender pay gap? How do we handle multilingualism within the Cluster and at the university? In the current issue of the In_equality magazine, we provide insights into our research and our own initiatives concerning inclusion and diversity.

In the sixth issue of the In_equality magazine, we provide an insight into our research on the topic: "(In)equality of Opportunities".

Therefore, the new edition takes an in-depth look at language-related inequality issues and explores why social science research needs a linguistic perspective.
