Speaker:

This event is part of an event series „Methods Hub Training “.

The Luxembourg Income Study (LIS) and the Luxembourg Wealth Study (LWS) are two datasets of income, wealth, employment, and demographic data from many high- and middle-income countries. The data is harmonized to enable cross-national comparisons. Together with LIS, we invite you to join this introductory session about the Luxembourg Income Study (LIS) & Luxembourg Wealth Study (LWS) databases. During the webinar, the speakers will provide an overview of the framework of harmonization work at LIS and give some practical examples of challenges of ex-post harmonization of microdata. Furthermore, a brief introduction to the metadata documentation system, self-teaching packages, and the remote access system aims to give a practical introduction to ‘how to get started working with the LIS data?’ Last, a specific hands-on session on the Luxembourg Wealth Study Database highlights some methodological aspects relevant while working with the wealth data (e.g., multiple imputations and replicate weights).

The event will take place as a webinar. A Zoom-link will be sent to all Cluster members shortly before the event.
