Location
University Library Computer Pool (either J-213 or BS-217 - tbd)
Organizer
Cluster of Excellence "The Politics of Inequality", SOEP
Speaker:
Sandra Bohmann (SOEP Berlin)
This event is part of an event series „SOEPcampus“.
The Cluster of Excellence "The Politics of Inequality" now has a Remote Access Safe Room of the Socio-Economic Panel (SOEP) that is fully operational and awaits its first users. From this Safe Room, researchers can access data of the Socio-Economic Panel. Some Cluster projects are starting up that will work with SOEP data, but this facility is in principle open to all Konstanz researchers.
As a supporting measure, Sandra Bohmann from the DIW has offered us to bring SOEPcampus to Konstanz, a 1.5-day workshop to strengthen methodological training in the use of SOEP data - especially for young scholars in the disciplines of sociology, economics, and psychology. For more information, see the SOEPcampus website.
The 1.5 day SOEPcampus workshop will take place on
December 2- 3, 2019
in the computer pool of the library
(either J-213 or BS-217)
Details will follow in time.
The workshop is primarily targeted at young researchers, but experienced staff with an interest in SOEP are welcome, too. Participation is limited to 25 participants and free for members of the University. We agreed with SOEP to open the workshop to all members of the University of Konstanz, given we cannot fill all the slots ourselves.
Please note that the workshop requires registration! In case you are interested, please contact us via e-mail.
