We would like to cordially invite you to a virtual book launch of „Digitalization and the Welfare State“ (OUP), a volume that Marius R. Busemeyer co-edited with Achim Kemmerling, Paul Marx and Kees Van Kersbergen. The volume studies the implications of technological change for the welfare state broadly defined, i.e. from changing politics to policies. Individual chapters analyze for instance the impact of the Big Data revolution on health care, the role of gender in the impact of digitalization, the consequences for a range of policy areas from education via labor market policy, pension, health care to education. Contributing authors include, among others, Torben Iversen, Philipp Rehm, Anne Wren, Jane Gingrich, Thomas Kurer, Silja Häusermann, Carsten Jensen and many more.
On June 10 (3-5 pm), there will be a virtual book launch (Zoom Link: us06web.zoom.us/j/93846637146 and below), where the book will be presented in short, followed by comments and discussion by David Rueda (Oxford) and Aina Gallego (Barcelona).
