This event is part of an event series „Animal Sociality Seminar“.

Dr. Alan McElligott from University of Roehampton will be presenting at our Animal Sociality Seminar.  Dr. McElligott will talk about Using comparative cognition to promote positive animal welfare: goats as a model.

Dr. McElligott is a professor in Animal Behaviour interested in understanding how evolution, ecology and domestication have shaped social behaviour, cognition and vocal communication of livestock. He currently focus on domestic species (goats, cattle and poultry) to better understand the cognitive abilities of domestic animals and their potential as model species for comparative cognition studies.
I warmly invite you to see his presentation and afterwards join us for lunch and/or dinner (please let me know if you want to join so I can reserve a table). Also, Dr. McElligott will have time to meet people at the Uni in the afternoon, please let Adriana (amaldonado@orn.mpg.de) know if you are interested in meeting him so you can be included in the schedule.
