support services, University of Konstanz
This event is part of an event series „Seminar Series of CASCB“.
There is great interest among junior and early career researchers – especially among those who are new to the university – to get structured information on funding opportunities, research support and other beneficial services the University of Konstanz has to offer. As the range of possibilities is indeed vast and diverse, we want to dedicate one slot of our weekly CASCB Seminar to this important topic. You will hear from four experts from different service departments who will present a condensed overview of what they offer. During and after the session you will have plenty of opportunities for asking questions.
Dr. Stefanie Preuss: "Research Support at the University of Konstanz: Advice and Support on Grant Proposals and Research Funding"
Dr. Stefanie Preuss is the head of the University of Konstanz Research Support and author of the book „Drittmittel für die Forschung: Grundlagen, Erfolgsfaktoren und Praxistipps für das Schreiben von Förderanträgen“ (translation: "Third-party funding for research: basics, success factors and practical advice for grant writing.“).
Mihaela Mihaylova: "Funding instruments of the Zukunftskolleg"
Mihaela Mihaylova will represent the Zukunftskolleg support team. The Zukunftskolleg is an Institute for Advanced Study (IAS) and a keystone in the University of Konstanz's institutional strategy to promote top-level research. It offers 2-year and 5-year fellowships as well as a diverse support network to promote the independence of early career researchers.
Bastian Goldlueke: "Meet the Collective Computational Unit"
Bastian Goldlueke is a professor in computer vision and the current coordinator of the CCU, a dedicated computer science facility for CASCB research.
Carla Avolio: "Yes you can: communicate your research"
Carla Avolio is the CASCB inhouse science communicator and member of the central communcation and marketing office (KUM) at the University of Konsatanz.
