Mirjam Müller is part of the Academic Staff Development at the University of Konstanz in Germany. In her position as a Staff Development and Promotion of Post-Doctoral Researchers, she coaches post-docs on research careers and appointment processes, advices on processes and structures relating to HR development and the promotion of early career academics, advices on funding applications and is the project manager of the Tenure-Track-Programme.

This information session gives an overview of the career phase between doctorate and professorship in Germany: What are the requirements, what are typical career paths and what specifics of the German academic system should you know?

The session will combine an input by Mirjam Müller, inhouse coach for postdocs at the University of Konstanz, with a Q&A session.
