We are delighted to pass on an invitation from the Max Planck Department for the Ecology of Animal Societies (EAS).

The EAS invites you to a special event at the Akademie Schloss Solitude on May 26-27 that features art by our very own Hemal Naik.

The event “Vital Currencies” is an interactive workshop co-hosted by EAS and held at the Akademie’s beautiful grounds in Stuttgart. It includes multi-media storytelling, (wine) tastings, deep listening (+ activities that defy description) to create connections among us, animals, and land.

The event features work by Hemal, from EAS, and the visual artist Helene Sommer, who visited the cluster and MPI in Konstanz last year. Hemal and Helene were both fellows in an Artist-In-Residence program developed by EAS and Akademie Schloss Solitude that aims to spark dialogue between science and the arts. At the 2-day workshop, Hemal and Helene will be showcasing work inspired by their experience in the residency program.

Date:

Hemal and Helene will both be running their workshops on Saturday 27. The MPI-AB day-trip is planned for Saturday, leaving from Konstanz in the morning and returning in the evening.

Transport:

•     An institute van seating 9 people will be driving to the Akademie. The van will be leaving the MPI Bücklestrasse at 11am and will return back to Bücklestrasse at 10pm
•     Or, a direct train connects Konstanz to Stuttgart. Last train on Saturday 27 is from 21:17-23:52
