Gender Diversity in German Academia on 29th Nov at 12pm with Né Fink via Zoom

Gender Diversity is more and more visible at the University. People with different genders and experiences are having their coming-out as trans or non-binary, use different labels and neo-pronouns.

In this talk we will get an overview of different terms (transgender, inter, nonbinary) and then zoom into the lived reality of trans, inter and non-binary people in the academic (research) context.

The talk gives you some practical ideas how to address people correctly and how to avoid common mistakes. Né Fink talks about obstacles and challenges for these groups at University. You will get an idea, how to become more aware of people with different genders and experiences and how to create welcoming (research) teams. 

Né Fink is trainer and advisor in the field of Gender Diversity. Né has a Master in Gender and Ethnicity, is a systemic counsellor and coordinated the project: „Support for trans students“ at the University of Göttingen. Né is non-binary and queer and volunteers as a counsellor for trans and gender divers people. In their talks they share experiences and knowledge.
