2-morning Workshop on Reinforcement Learning organized by Kazushi Tsutsui (Nagoya University) and Prasetia Putra (CASCB)
Sep 27th / Sep 28th (10am-12), room ZT0702
How can you use Reinforcement Learning to model the chasing behavior of predators and prey?
When prey should escape? And how the predator should chase the prey? These questions apply not only to hunting, but also other chasing behaviors across species.
In this workshop, we will explore how to use basic reinforcement learning and deep neural networks to answer those questions.
On the first day of the workshop, we will guide you through some basic knowledge of reinforcement learning and how to implement those algorithms in Python. Then, we will play with deep reinforcement learning to model chase and escape behavior under solitary and group conditions.
Material:
- Introduction (Day 1)
- RL background
- Recent applications
- Grid world(Day 1)
- Explanation & implementation
- Maze (Day 2)
- Explanation & implementation
- Chase and escape (Day 2)
- Explanation & implementation
FAQ:
- Do I need expertise in Python? No, only basic knowledge of Python or Matlab is necessary. We will provide assistance if you face issues when implementing the code.
- Do I need to know computer science? No, we will start from the basics (any background is welcome).
- What should I bring? You only need to bring your own laptop.
Date and time:
